Eyes On Community Ambassador - Trevor Hendy
"We have a duty of care to the precinct, and one another...so we can all enjoy the fun entertainment offered in this beautiful city" Trevor Hendy
Trevor Hendy is known as the ‘greatest ironman in the world’, setting an unbroken record during his career at the Surfers Paradise Surf Lifesaving Club, with four World Ironman Championship titles as well as an impressive list of other sporting achievements.
Surfers Paradise residents, traders and businesses are proud to have Trevor as the ambassador for the ‘Eyes on Surfers Paradise’ campaign.
“Surfers Paradise is where I trained throughout my ironman career, but I’ve competed all over the world and believe nothing beats my home stretch,” says Trevor.
“I’m proud of Surfers Paradise; the precinct has the iconic look, feel and reputation that put the Gold Coast on the map. The community is built on its synonymy with good times, so it’s vital we continue to support it. Surfers Paradise is the place where so many memories are made, and the heart of our city.
“‘Eyes on Surfers Paradise’ is by and large a common sense campaign, but it’s designed to remind us all that we have a duty of care to the precinct and one another. Whether you’re a resident, a local visitor or a tourist, the diversity of people here is a great reason for us to retain safety as a top priority – this way we can
all enjoy the fun and entertainment offered in this beautiful city.
“Having your ‘eyes on’ means you’ll be doing your bit in keeping Surfers Paradise superb – that’s the work of a true champion.”
