The Surfers Paradise Traders’ Code of Conduct is an initiative of Surfers Paradise Alliance in association with the Gold Coast Office of Fair Trading, encouraging retail businesses in Surfers Paradise to maintain fair trading standards.
The Traders’ Code of Conduct outlines best business practice, in harmony with the Queensland Government Fair Trading Act.
Businesses displaying the Traders’ Code of Conduct Certificate (click here to download the certificate, PDF 216KB) and store decal pledge to uphold these business practices. They have also undertaken training with the Office of Fair Trading, ensuring they understand the regulations underpinning the initiative and conform to the applicable laws.
Regular compliance checks are already conducted by the Office of Fair Trading with all retailers on the Gold Coast to ensure businesses abide by the law.
Further details for Code of Conduct members are outlined in the Surfers Paradise Business Directory section of our website.
