August 2006
- Seafood Paradise Weekend was a free seafood cooking demonstration stage on the first weekend in August by leading international celebrity chef Jason Roberts. The event was help as part of the month long Tastes of Gold Coast food and wine festival. Leading Surfers Paradise hotels also hosted special seafood offers over the weekend.

- Lexmark Indy 300 Official Off-Track Entertainment
The Surfers Paradise Drvier Parade and 'Meet the Driver' session provided an opportunity for the Gold Coast community to welcome the international sporting heros and celebrate the start of the four day festivities.

- Lexmark Indy 300 Surfers Paradise Street Parade
This carnival of colours, music and costumes is the undisputed highlight of the entire Lexmark Indy 300 off-track entertainment program. The free street parade features more than 160 performers, acrobats and dancers that are dressed in elaborately themed costumes.

November 2006
- Gold Coast Schoolies Week
50,000 school leavers from around the country converged on Surfers Paradise for the official 10-day safety program ran from the 17-26 November 2006 on behalf of the State and Local Government.
December 2006
- New Year’s Eve
An estimated 65,000 people celebrated New Year's Eve on Surfers Paradise Beach with the Gold Coast's biggest fireworks display. There were four fireworks displays held at 9pm, 10pm, 11pm and the main event at midnight.

- Easter
The Easter Egg-streme Kids Program was a free family event featuring over four
hours of activities and entertainment. The event featured a beach Easter
egg hunt, art and crafts, beach games, free rides and attracted an estimated
5,000 people to Surfers Paradise.

June 2007
- Surfers Paradise Girls’ Day Out
Surfers Paradise Girls’ Day Out was a one-day retail promotion in conjunction
with the GCBazaar festival, highlighting the range of retail and beauty
experiences available in Surfers Paradise. An estimated 1,500 ladies attended
the free events and activities, which included fashion parades, a free movie
screening, free express pampering and free mocktails.

Out Photos
- Queensland Cracker Night
Queensland Cracker Night, presented by Centro Surfers Paradise, was a free
community concert on Surfers Paradise Beach. The event attracted a large
crowd of 8,000 to 10,000 people and was held on the June long weekend.
This Queensland Week event was officially opened by the Minister for
Police and Corrective Services, Judy Spence and was hosted by Hot Tomato
radio presenters Renae King and Paul Holmes. The show featured internationally
acclaimed ABBA tribute band Bjorn Again and three fireworks displays.
It was a hit with spectators, attracting families from south east Queensland.
