Arts Centre Gold Coast

For over 30 years The Arts Centre Gold Coast has brought the best in visual and performing arts to residents and visitors of South East Queensland.

From sensational local and touring comedians, to world-class theatre productions, dance performances, the latest movies and contemporary art, The Arts Centre is the Gold Coast’s premier cultural facility. The complex houses the 1139 seater Arts Theatre, Gold Coast City Gallery, two Cinemas and the bustling Arts Cafe as well as several stunning function rooms, a chapel and two small performance spaces.

The Arts Centre will soon be opening a concert lawn and outdoor stage, the initial stage of its transformation into the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct, the heart for arts, culture and civic celebration in the city.

Gold Coast City Gallery is one of Australia’s most prominent public Regional Galleries and presents a lively program of exhibitions and events within the complex and beyond into the parkland of the Cultural Precinct. Travel around Evandale Lake to experience a sculpture park endowed with work from both Australian and international artists. The Gallery also plays a leading role in supporting local cultural practice, working closely with artists and the community to develop curatorial projects that draw out contemporary creative responses to the city and the region.

The Gallery is home to three significant art prizes; the Gold Coast Art Prize, The Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award and the International Ceramic Art Award.

Every Sunday morning from 6am – 11.30am the Bundall Farmers’ Market takes place, selling local produce, artisan products, plants, delicious food and coffee, accompanied by musicians playing by the lake.
